O dear heavens it's finnally done!!!! WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
You see my youth paster asked for a picture of the creature from Ezekiel (The cherabim) about two years ago I think. And I wanted it to be as accurat as possble.... But i was hitting some spots in the description that didn't seem to add up.... So shamefully I gave up for a time. Until I started this bible study in colledge where my study leadre pointed out a second occurance of the creature in revolations. and by combining the descriptions I was able to pull out this! (I'm still not sure if it's quite accurate of course but its' way better than my previous designs.)
Goes to show, you won't understand the Bible very well unless you use it to translate it's self. It's all connected.
I actually think you did a nice job. I was reading in Ezekial recently and I was very curious as to how people would perceive them based in the description. I think yours comes pretty close to it. (The only thing missing is the eyes that covered the creatures body and wheels) Still I really like this. After I read the passage in the Bible, I was very excited to look up accurate illustrations instead of the false ones with little children and wings. I was very disappointed to find a few, but out of all of them, I think yours comes the closest to Ezekial's description...

Some people are good with words, other people words with good not so are!
exekiel describs the "Wheel within the wheel" I interpreded that as a gyroscope as closest i wrecon. And the eyes... were suposed to be the markings on the body... (Truth be told I'm still trying to figur out how to make them pop more)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

This actually looks somewhat similar to how I pictured the wheel and creaturethingy.
