So... yesterday I had my Wisdom teeth removed. It does feel very like I've had bones ripped from my face, not to bad really. I could do without the swelling. My mother found it dreadfully amusing to photograph me with frozen hot-dog packages on my face.... which it was. All and All the pain was quite bearable.... it's the nausea that's the kicker.

They insist you don't ingest anything six hours before the surgery and I'm one of those lucky people who cannot eat anything after I get really hungry or else I'll spew... and I did....

My heart goes out to all you who have to have teeth pulled.

EDIT FOR THE GIRLS:

Oh! it ain't over, just because of the debilitation of this tooth related event I find this next bit of information very important (those with weak constitutions.... suck it up this is important)

If you are a lady planning on having your wisdom teeth removed, AND have the convenience of having the ability to predict that "time of the month" DO NOT schedule your surgery around that time. Not only will it set you into a maddening amount of pain and nausea, it is very bad for your healing gums.

You see while Aunt flow is making her loathsome visit your immune system is shot. And when your immune system is shot you get infections in wounded areas. And when you have infections in wounded areas they blow up with puss. And that is what happened to me.

Back on antibiotics and I'll be fine but thought you really ought to know cause this is stuff they don't really warn you about... I do so enjoy being a girl.
